Where to read it
Not sold on its own: a bonus story in the 2021 Sisters of Battle Collection, a signed limited set. It is not in Sisters of Battle: The Omnibus.
Only in death does duty end. Decades after the events of her last combat mission, the elderly Sister Hospitaller Verity Catena, Heroine of the Imperium, embarks on a pilgrimage to a distant ossuary world racked by internal conflict, carrying a sacred relic for sanctification. But all is not as it seems, as she walks a path of bones on a mission to venerate the honoured dead and bring the Emperor's displeasure to a world that has strayed from the Imperial Truth. The fifth of James Swallow's Sisters of Battle tales, published only in the limited-edition Sisters of Battle Collection.
